Bow Valley Chamber: Women in Business Speaker Series in partnership with BVCC and  Field Law are hosting our first Women in Business Women Who Lead Speaker Series. This is part of an ongoing series Of BVCC Women in Business events offered 2-3 times each year, events open to all who who believe in elevating women in business.  

Born to Lead Differently:
The Road I Made, the Advice I Unlearned, and Leading with Heart.

In this candid and inspiring talk, guest speaker Mary Tidlund shares her journey from co-founding an oil and service business in the 1990’s  to leading with purpose on the global stage of philanthropy—focused on supporting women and children. She reflects on the advice that shaped her, the instincts she chose to trust, and how authenticity became her compass. With lessons drawn from both the boardroom and the Bow Valley, she reveals how embracing every part of her business—and unlearning what didn’t serve her—paved the way for a leadership style rooted in courage, connection, and lasting impact.
