DESCRIPTION:As a non-partisan business organization\, the Bow Valley Chamber of Commerce is committed to creating opportunities for members to engage in constructive dialogue on the issues affecting our business community. Through conversations with decision-makers from across the political spectrum\, we aim to ensure the voices and experiences of local businesses are heard.Join us for a facilitated business roundtable with the Office of The Honourable Wayne Long\, Secretary of State (Canada Revenue Agency and Financial Institutions). This discussion will bring together local business owners and employers to share their experiences\, concerns\, and recommendations on measures that could better support small businesses and economic growth.The conversation will explore the unique realities of operating a business in the Bow Valley\, including opportunities to strengthen domestic tourism\, regulatory processes that may be affecting business growth\, and ways to improve CRA service delivery for business owners. Following electoral redistribution\, he now represents the riding of Saint John Kennebecasis\, New Brunswick. In May 2025\, he was appointed Secretary of State (Canada Revenue Agency and Financial Institutions). Before entering federal politics\, Mr. Long served as President of the Saint John Sea Dogs hockey club and was active in the business community in Saint John. Born and raised in Saint John\, New Brunswick\, he has built a reputation as a strong advocate for economic development and community growth. As Secretary of State\, Mr. Long supports the Government of Canada's work related to the Canada Revenue Agency and financial institutions while continuing to represent the interests of the residents of Saint John Kennebecasis in the House of Commons
